Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is on the rise as one of Scotland’s foodie hot-spots, offering great chefs, a brilliant natural larder and a growing collection of inspiring food stories.
Today a new food and drink magazine titled ‘Taste’ is being launched across the National Park today.
Gordon Watson, Chief Executive of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, said: “We are blessed with world class natural produce in the Park from venison and salmon to cheeses and whisky, as well as many talented producers and entrepreneurial chefs.
"For those passionate about food and drink there has never been a better time to visit, and we hope that Taste Magazine will inspire visitors and residents to seek out local specialities and encourage businesses to use local products within their own offers.”
Building on the success of 2015 as the Year of Food & Drink, and to celebrate our local culinary heritage, the National Park has produced the Taste magazine in partnership with Love Loch Lomond. The magazine gives an introduction to some of the fantastic food and drink offers that are available in and around the National Park.
Within the pages of this handy magazine, readers will discover fantastic local producers, and how passionate and committed they are about what they do, find out where to try and buy great local produce such as venison and lamb, learn about some of the food festivals that take place in and around the Park throughout the year, get suggestions for a wonderful picnic spot, and many more foodie stories.
Local business will be provided with copies of the Taste magazine to enthuse their guests and to encourage them to go out and explore the wonderful tastes that the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park has to offer.
