The Trading House will be located in The Citizen Building, the former offices of The Evening Citizen newspaper on St Vincent Place in Glasgow's city centre and is expected to create up to 70 jobs.
The new venue is set to open on October the 5th and The New World Trading Company have dedicated £80,000 for the training of new staff in the lead up to the launch of the new restaurant.
The Company, which uses the slogan 'importers and exporters of particular and peculiar eccentricities, curiosities and antiquities', take their inspiration from the East India Trading Company and usually carry quirky décor and design based on strange items that would have been collected by an adventurer on their travels around the world.
The inside of the new restaurant will be split into two levels with a main floor and a mezzanine and will seat up to 140 diners as well as accommodating an additional 16 guests in their private dining room.
The restaurant will also have its own beer tasting room and have an extensive drinks menu featuring a great range of cocktails, wine and a large selection of craft beers, ales and ciders from around the world.
Food will include deli boards, rotisserie and barbecue dishes as well as their signature hanging kebabs.
The New World Trading Company managing director Chris Hill said: "We are incredibly excited to launch The Trading House in Glasgow.
"This opening continues our plan to roll the concept out nationally and we’re confident our location in a prime position on St Vincent Place will ensure it’s a huge success."
