Wagamama will hand out free pies in Edinburgh and Glasgow ahead of British Pie Week.
The Asian restaurant chain have teamed up with London-based pastry makers Willy’s Pies to bring the Chicken Katsu Pie alongside the Mushroom, Kimchi and Edamame Pie to nineteen locations across the UK from Thursday, February 29.
Ahead of British Pie Week, March 4th -10th, the brands are bringing together two of the nation’s favourite dishes. The pies will be centred around Wagamama’s iconic Katsu curry sauce and complemented by Willy’s Pies flaky pastry, with a side serving of salad and pink pickles.

It will be joined by the plant-powered offering which packs a punch with its bold Asian-inspired filling with oyster mushrooms, aubergine and fresh edamame beans and spicy curry sauce with kimchi layered on top.
With a resume which includes Michelin star restaurants Will Lewis, the head chef and founder of Willy’s Pies, said: “We’re so pleased to be working with Wagamama again - a lot of hard work and careful consideration has gone into making these pies taste as great as they do.
"We wanted to make something fun and innovative, without compromising on the flavour or quality Willy’s Pies is known for. We’re so excited to take these on tour and see what the rest of the nation thinks.”
If you’d like to try the new Wagamama pies, here are all of the participating UK restaurants.
In Scotland, the pies will be available only in the Edinburgh St Andrews, Edinburgh Lothian Road and Glasgow City Centre Wagamama branches.
In addition to offering the two pie varieties in selected branches, Wagamama and Willy’s Pies will take their delicious creation on tour around the UK with the Where’s Willy tour bus, which will feature custom artwork from Glaswegian artist Trackie McLeod.
Starting in Reading, fans of the Asian restaurant will be delighted to learn that free samples of the pie will be handed out in different spots around the country for the next two weeks including Cardiff, London and Brighton.

However, Scottish Wagamama lovers won’t be left out either.
On Monday, March 4th, the Where’s Willy tour bus will park itself in the capital at Edinburgh University’s Potterrow Plaza from 11am to 3pm.
The Wagamama Where’s Willy bus will then move on to Glasgow, where it can be found on Argyle Street from 11am until 3pm on Tuesday, March 5th.
