Popular Glasgow café now offers a vegan Scotch pie on a roll

A café in Glasgow which is renowned for its plant-based creations is now offering a vegan twist on an old Scottish favourite - a roll and vegan Scotch pie.

Plant-based specialists Rose & Grants posted their creation on their Facebook page, admitting it that it might not be to everyone's taste.

Judging by the responses though, which include over 250 likes, it seems that they might be on to a winner.

One person even described it as the "breakfast of champions".

The R & G team recently perfected the recipe for their vegan Scotch pies previously hit the headlines with their vegan rolls and square sausage, which have went down a storm since they were first released in 2016.

Priced at £3 for takeaway, you can pick these up at that the café in the Merchant City, though the roll might cost you extra.
