Krispy Kreme store set to open in Glasgow this December

Scottish fans of Krispy Kreme were given an early Christmas gift this morning as the company announced on social media that they will be opening a store in Glasgow this December.

Krispy Kreme announced their plans for the new Scottish store - only their second in the country - on Facebook, confirming that it would be opening at Braehead on Wednesday 2nd December.

The news followed repeated rumours that the company were set to open a new store in Silverburn, however, a site at the rival Braehead shopping centre has been chosen instead.

Kripsy Kreme UK posted the news on their Facebook site this morning saying: "The wait is over, we have a date for you... our fantastic new store at intu Braehead opens on Wednesday 2nd December at 10am!

There'll be lots of excitement on opening day, so come on down and join in the Krispy Kreme fun!"

Fans took to social media to declare their delight at the news with one poster saying it was like "Christmas come early".

A second poster then commented saying: "No more travelling from Ayrshire to Edinburgh for donuts."
