Falling the day after Valentines, Single Awareness Day (Thursday, February 15th) is a holiday for single people to celebrate so that people not in a relationship don’t miss out this February.
If you’re unattached and want to do something a bit different, Temaki is looking for 24 single girls and guys to join them for their sushi speed dating on February 15th from 7 pm.
Starting with a specially created sake cocktail to set the mood, Temaki say they will host a mini tasting of this popular Japanese drink.
Complementing the cocktails, the restaurant will then serve up a selection of their signature, and colourful, hand-rolled sushi in a platter for each person to enjoy.
There will also be music to set the mood provided by a DJ as a special host takes the singles through the speed dating event, the Temaki team say there will also be prizes up for grabs throughout the night to add to the fun.
Costing £15pp and including two drinks, a sushi platter and speed dating, you can book your place by calling 0141 248 1869.
The pan Asian sushi burrito bar, blends world-inspired street food flavours that are found in New York, using locally-sourced Scottish seafood and produce cooked by authentic Japanese chefs right in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre.
Temaki owner, Kasia Koziel said: “We wanted to put on something a bit different and when we say that Single Awareness Day was a thing we thought why not!
“The demand from women has been amazing so far; we just need more men to step up and join us.
“If you’re up for a laugh, looking for fun, then make sure you book your place and get down to Temaki.”
