Glasgow's Mamasan restaurant to launch Edinburgh delivery service

One of Glasgow's newest restaurants is taking its delivery service to Edinburgh.

Edinburgh residents can soon take a culinary tour of South East Asia as Glasgow’s Mamasan restaurant launches delivery of its at-home dining experience to the capital.

Mamasan, founded by Scottish entrepreneur and Edinburgh-born Brad Stevens opened in 2020, and has diversified with a flexible delivery service of meal boxes in light of the ongoing pandemic restrictions.

The Mamasan meal boxes have included culinary journeys to Bangkok and Shanghai, and can now be delivered to Edinburgh.

Four other South East Asian destinations are set to follow in the coming months giving customers the chance to explore dishes and cocktails inspired by the authentic flavours and spices of that particular location - with different set menus to cook at home.

Mamasan’s new at-home monthly experience menus are prepared by hand, including the fragrant curry pastes and their coconut cream.

Brad Stevens, founder of Mamasan said: “Our tour of South East Asia box concept was originally conceived as a monthly event for the restaurant.

"However, we’ve had to diversify during the lockdown as many businesses have.

"We launched One Night in Bangkok by Mamasan in January and it’s been a sell-out in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

"With the latest restrictions removing the takeaway service with deliveries only, we’ve extended our delivery service to Edinburgh one day a week.

"I’m also from Edinburgh so ended up driving boxes through to friends, family and client contacts so we’ve already had a lot of interest from Edinburgh so it made sense to take the service back home.

"There is no other South East Asian delivery service like ours, we’re taking you on a culinary tour of iconic South East Asia destinations with incredible four-course menus and specially curated cocktails to complement your meal.

"It’s great value for money and priced £65 for two people.”

Mamasan’s One Night In…experience boxes are made fresh to order, and the service will be launching in Edinburgh from Friday 29 January with pre-orders taken from 25 January.

Brad added: “To test out demand, we’re delivering 50 One Night In experiences on the first week with a weekly delivery on a Friday.”
