The Merchant City-based café previously hit the headlines with their vegan rolls and square sausage, which went down a storm when they were released in 2016.
Now the R & G team are taking on another Scottish favourite, this time the Scotch pie, which they say is just as "tasty as the original".
Posting on their Facebook page, they wrote: "We’ve been working on this for a while since our friends at Cooljerk stopped pie making. And we are very happy with the results."
Adding that they can make "loads more than just the vegan square sausage", R & G said that the new pies are available "smothered in baked beans" but that they recommend them with just brown sauce.
The response to the post, with over 200 likes, shows just how popular the idea is already with their customers.
One person posted: "I think about these a lot. Can you stock up on them and freeze them? So many times I've wanted them but not been able to get into town."
With R & G confirming that the pies are indeed freezable for up to a month from the day you buy them.
Priced at £3 for takeaway, others added that they "look delicious" and described them as "a dream come true".
There was a little controversy around the name with several people taking the time out to question the accuracy of calling them Scotch pies when they don't contain any mutton.
In response another poster joked simply that to save any hassle perhaps R & G should rename them "sheepless shortcrusts".
