The Cauldron has announced the launch of an interactive ‘Wizard Afternoon Tea’ Experience as it reopens its doors on 26 April.
The brand new immersive experience - ideal for kids and adults - is an interactive and magical experience that will also fit with the government guidelines at this time.
Customers can use a working magic wand to brew scintillating teas and interact with an experimental cake stand topped with a pulsing dragon egg.
The food offering is a magical twist on traditional afternoon tea items with elements of molecular gastronomy — sand-witches, Elven scones wrapped in banana leaves, freeze-dried Skittles, and éclairs oozing with mini pipettes filled with chocolate sauce.
When guests arrive they select their working, illuminated wand, and enjoy their Wizard Afternoon Tea Experience at an interactive tea tree, which is decked with tasty treats.
The magic wand is also used to open a locked puzzle box containing the ingredients needed to brew flavourful teas.
The Experience encourages tea experimentation with different loose-leaf tea and flower varieties, which are crushed with pestle and mortar and timed with extra large tea timers.
The Wizard Afternoon Tea Experience is suitable for both children and adults — and participants can select the Arcane Wizard’s Tea Experience (adults) or the Little Wizard’s Afternoon Tea (kids) with child-sized portions.
There are also vegan and gluten-free options available. Should government regulations allow alcohol to be served, guests can add a glass of bubbly, cocktails dispensed via magic wand from the mouth of a unicorn, or a Cauldron signature molecular potion.
The brand new Covid-safe, interactive Wizard Afternoon Tea Experience comes from The Cauldron Co., the same “magicineers” behind the Edinburgh’s well-known wizard-inspired cocktail experience, The Cauldron Potions Experience.
The Cauldron Co. has also just launched a crowdfunded investment campaign, Equity For Magic, raising investment to help the business expand its fantastical, make-believe immersive experiences to more people.
The Cauldron’s Wizard’s Afternoon Tea will be open from April 26.
Tickets cost £34.99 for the Arcane Wizard’s Tea and £19.99 for the Little Wizard’s Afternoon Tea, and bookings are now live.
