The team behind the popular Leith pop-up Bundits are crowdfunding to help them transform the business into a permanent venue.
Bundits launched their Leith pop-up just as Scotland entered the last lockdown, which brought their works to a halt and decimated the budget as customers were no longer allowed to enter the premises or purchase alcohol.
Despite that, the team are close to finishing the project and hope to open the venue fully by the end of May.
Located on Constitution Street in Leith, Bundits will be a fully-functioning pub, with a karaoke room and a private party space.
Diners can look forward to their range of bao buns, Korean fried cauliflower and new dishes being served alongside a selection of beers, cocktails and spirits.
Speaking of the crowdfunding, Bundits’ owner, Matthew Korecki said: “We want Bundits of Leith to be a permanent fixture in Leith, and are very, very close to getting there.
"All we need now is a little bit of help and a little push to make it happen.
“We have the venue, the fantastic food and the staff of dreams; but need some money to finish the place up.
"We want it to be a place for absolutely anyone; fancy a quick breakfast bun and a coffee on your way to work? We got you. Planning a hen party?
"Our events team will do all the hard work. Karaoke night with friends? Easy-peasy. A pint after work or a date night? Look no further.
“We are sure you get it, we want to be that place for you and our community, and we also want to give back.”
The team behind Bundits promise to spend the funds on local suppliers and tradespeople to make sure the money stays in the community.
Some of them include Ja!Coco! Design studio responsible for the look of the place; Katie behind the local brand KMG will work on wall art throughout the venue and Next Level Project from Loanhead who will build all the fixtures.
Those who want to support their venture can do so, while enjoying rewards such as food and drink vouchers, private dining, merchandise and more.
