Chef Nico Simeone confirms Home by Nico delivery service will be back

The at-home cookery kits have been a sell out success during lockdown, and they're set to continue after a short hiatus.

Home by Nico, which launched in early April, offered fans of Six by Nico the chance to cook a four course meal for two or four people from the restaurant, at home.

Themes have included a world tour with: a Greek experience, French Riviera, Chinese fusion and Mexican Fiesta - with menus selling out in minutes for delivery in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The final menu, which featured a selection of 'best of' dishes is set for delivery over the weekend of 10-12 July.

Home by Nico will be paused from now but plans for the food delivery business will be revealed later this year.

Speaking at his cook along live, which was watched on social media by over 20,000 people, chef Nico confirmed that Home by Nico would continue as the team has secured new premises for the venture and were working to 'elevate it'.

He added that it would be likely that the service could resume around October, with a team working on it in the background as the main focus now is reopening all Nico restaurants, including a Six by Nico in London.

With all of Six by Nico restaurants reopening across the UK from Monday 13 July, including the new London site, the 40-minute live stream event on Facebook was hosted by Nico as a thank you to loyal customers who had missed the restaurant during lockdown.

The live demonstration was a first for the chef and proved to be a viral hit with over 20,000 customers tuning in to watch and 1,000 lucky customers cooking alongside him from the comfort of their own homes thanks to kits that were delivered in Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool and London.
