At the Beech Tree Inn, healthy eating is a top priority, but they also make sure that the children's menu doesn't miss out old favourites.

Kids can choose from small portions of dishes such as sirloin steak, chilli con carne and scampi, and can run around in the family garden to their hearts' content.

Coia's Café

This was the first café to be opened by the Coia family in 1928, and underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2006.

The well-stocked Coia delicatessen is just next door, which sells some truly scrumptious home-made ice cream.

There is a huge range of dishes on offer at the café, including pastas, pizzas, seafood and meat dishes. Also take note of the specials, which change every day.

Kids are sure to love the penne Napoli, the mince pie and the hot dog, while adults will go crazy for the Aberdeen Angus steak, the seafood platter and the pollo Milanese.

Celino's

Celino's is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a variety of menus to choose from depending on the occasion.

It has been family-run since 1982, and won the Best Café award in 2012 at the Scottish Entertainment Guide Awards.

At the delicatessen, you can buy top-notch Italian products, such as salsiccia, olives, and balsamic vinegar. The a la carte menu is stuffed with Italian favourites, such as spaghetti carbonara, ravioli and risotto, as well as some excellent meat and fish dishes.

Kids are also well catered for, with pastas, pizza and pan-fried chicken on the children's menu.

They will also be delighted to learn that there are desserts on the menu, including a fabulous strawberry sundae.
