Begin the evening with a traditional aperitivo and bread and canapé, before a indulging in a tour of Italy, with Asiago cheese gnocchi, squid ragout, and red prawn tagliolini, all expertly paired with old world wines.

Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End, Otro will be serving up a four-course set Valentine's menu with optional wine pairings this February 14th.

The special menu, which has been designed by executive chef Maciek Szymik, includes dishes such as tempura of oyster with wasabi mayonnaise and lime and soy sauce jelly, and sirloin steak with crispy oxtail, truffle mash and winter greens.

The Dhabba in Glasgow's Candleriggs will be offering the first thirty couples who book a Valentine’s Day meal a free book about the Indian God of Desire Kamadeva.

Kamadeva is the Hindu Cupid, angel or deity of love like Eros or Amor and is often represented as a young and handsome winged man who wields a bow and arrows.

The Dhabba hit the headlines last Valentines Day when they offered a full aphrodisiac menu and will once again be using some aphrodisiac spices in dishes.

Serving up a range of North Indian delights, many of which are vegan, couples and friends can tuck into dishes such as Macchi Dum Sunehri - Fresh Scottish monkfish, baked in the tandoor and finished in a sauce with hints of cloves and Bhuna Gosht - Sautéed lamb with onions, tomatoes, and peppers.

The menu includes decadent dishes such as an artisan charcuterie sharing platter,  a chateaubriand of Cairnhill Farm Scotch beef, served with pommes saute and green beans, and a classic apple tarte tatin served with tonka bean ice cream.

Three courses come with a glass of Champagne for £120 per couple.
