Top Scottish distillery launches new Celtic FC gin liqueur

A Scottish distillery, which has previously won Scottish Gin of the Year, has released a new limited edition Celtic FC gin liqueur.

Made in collaboration with Celtic Football Club, the new Gin Liqueur, which has been created by Eden Mill in St Andrews, is described as an "exciting medley" of citrus flavours and is based with their Original Gin, which was crowned Scottish Gin of the Year in 2018.

A spokesperson for the gin firm said: "As the official gin of Celtic Football Club, Eden Mill gin is available at Celtic Park and we have worked closely with the Celtic Park hospitality team to create an exciting gin menu for the stadium.

"The Celtic Gin Liqueur will be the latest addition to this lineup, and we're delighted to offer everyone part of the hospitality experience to take home."

Made using the zest and flesh of four citrus fruits: lemon, lime, orange and white grapefruit, the liqueur features a striking green colour with the team at Eden Mill stating that it has a robust citrus flavour profile lending it a zesty, almost-tart character.

Writing about the gin on Facebook, Eden Mill said: "The sweetness from the orange works underneath to build the complexity, and the lime and lemon round off the liqueur with a combination of refreshing zesty sweetness."

Best served with sparkling elderflower and a twist of orange peel, the gin is available to buy from Eden Mill's website priced at £22 for a 500ml bottle.

It follows the launch of a Hibs gin liqueur earlier this month and a Treble Treble gin, which celebrates the Scottish champion's run of winning nine trophies in a row.
