For one night only, the Liquid Academy are taking over the Cran' on Argyle Street to create an innovative new drinks experience - an evening of mixed drinks without alcohol, including softails & blended soda delights.
Landing on Glasgow's popular Finnieston strip, the 'Liquid Academy Late Night' session takeover of the Cran' will take place on Saturday 9th December between 7 - 11pm.
The team behind the event say that it's free and will offer diners and drinkers alike the chance to try some exciting softails and mixed soda drinks.
For this inaugural 'Late Night' the Liquid Academy team will be working with Clayton's Kola Tonic, which is made from "a basket of natural ingredients used to create a unique taste".
To soundtrack the night there will be music specially selected to embody the experience of the journey of the product from Africa to Barbados and then here UK.
As well as there being experienced staff on hand to create drinks, there will also be a "mix it yourself station", where people are encouraged to come along and get creative with Claytons themselves.
The LA added that on top of all the free tasters, there will also be a "full soft drinks bar" for takeaway or to enjoy while sitting in at this interesting venue.
Scott Gemmell, managing director at the Liquid Academy, said: "Really excited about this project we are embarking on with our friends at the Cran'.
"There is so much emphasis on alcohol drinking in Glasgow, we thought it would be fun to go out and do some non-alcohol events, and if you are going to launch this, where else would you choose other than Finnieston?
"From our point of view it shows that we can craft drinks that are on par with any cocktail out there with only the use of soft drinks. I hope people come down with an open mind and look at the fact having a couple of soft drinks on your night out is not a bad thing, and in fact helps you have a better night through better hydration alone."
While Donald Stephenson, Claytons brand manager, added: "We spend a lot of time at Claytons looking at ways to use the brand in cocktails and it has a real cult following across the top bar tenders thanks to its use in numerous recipes in the Savoy Cocktail book, so this opportunity to show the Kola Tonic in its original style - as soft drink - is brilliant as it allows us to get back to the roots of the drink.
"Claytons is made from a secret blend of Kent hops, West African kola nuts and sugar cane from Barbados and has a flavour that is excellent to enjoy on its own with just ice, however, when mixed it really comes alive. The other great thing about the Kola Tonic is the fact it has a similar stimulus effect as coffee.
"This makes it a great booster for when you are out enjoying yourself and feel you could do with a boost but don't want to go for energy drinks that are packed full of excess additives. Reach for a Claytons and keep it as natural as possible."
