Scran season 2: Talking whisky with Outlander star Sam Heughan

The latest episode of our podcast Scran is now live,

On this episode of Scran I'm delighted to be joined by Outlander star Sam Heughan.

Sam is a Scottish actor who is most commonly known for playing warrior Jamie Fraser in Outlander, a historical drama television series based on the novel series of the same name. It is set in Scotland at the time of the Jacobites uprising and has gained fans from all over the world.

In 2019 Sam realised his dream of release his own whisky, The Sassenach.

On this episode Sam chats about what inspired him to release this whisky, why he chose a blend over a single malt and when fans in the UK can buy a bottle.

Sam also discusses his favourite drams as well as some favourite foods...as well as some not-so-favourite foodie moments.
