Commissioned by the Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB) in 1963 and built in Glasgow, Fingal was stationed in Oban for 30 years and six years in Stromness, transporting lighthouse keepers, bringing supplies and undertaking repairs.
After a dramatic transformation, Fingal opened to the public in January 2019 as a floating hotel, bar and restaurant - which can be visited by those not staying on board.
This Christmas, the team at the Lighthouse bar are serving up a festive afternoon tea which has seasonal and Scottish items alongside the traditional finger sandwiches and cakes.
Enjoy our festive-inspired Afternoon Tea menu from Monday 2nd December. We have teamed up with @pickeringsgin to gift everyone their very own Gin Bauble to take home! Available with each Afternoon Tea, Monday to Thursday, from 2nd – 23rd December 2019 https://t.co/LN50rfaxuK pic.twitter.com/rj1Z2Fknaj

Menu items include: Haggis ball, tarragon mayonnaise, Welsh rarebit tart, balsamic red onions, Truffled white bean velouté and festive cakes such as Mulled fruit and plain buttermilk scones, Gingerbread chocolate delice and Eggnog macaron.
Anyone that treats themselves to a mid-week festive afternoon tea can take home a Pickering's gin bauble.
These gin-filled Christmas decorations have been sell-out hit since they launched in 2016, with this year's range filled with flavoured gins including a Brussels sprout creation.
The Fingal festive afternoon tea, priced at £40 per person, is served from 12-4pm daily from 2-23 December and the gin bauble gift will be available while stocks last.
