Around £240,000 has been jointly invested in Brewed & Baked on the High Street in Musselburgh, where customers will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds with quality coffee, a range of wines, beers and spirits and a good choice of food, in a stylish and contemporary environment.
At the helm of the new business is husband and wife team, Andy and Cheri Lund, who are no strangers to the hospitality trade, having previously run the Cross Keys Hotel at Canonbie.
Andy said: “We’re delighted to be part of this exciting new project. Whether it’s a breakfast roll and brew to go, coffee and cake, a beer and a sandwich – or even prosecco with a jam and cream scone, for a treat - we have something for everyone throughout the day.”
Formerly the Burgh Bar, Brewed & Baked is a stylish yet comfortable coffee shop, offering quality food and drink to eat-in or take out.
Food is served from 8.00 am, offering a range of hot meals, sandwiches, cakes and snacks. Customers can take advantage of free wi-fi internet connection as well as being able to hire the space out for celebrations, private parties and informal get-togethers and events in the evening.
The investment in Brewed & Baked has created four new jobs in the town. Jeremy Williams, Partnership Development Manager for Punch, said: “Musselburgh is a busy place and Brewed & Baked provides a new friendly, stylish licensed Café where local residents, people who work in the town, and visitors can relax and enjoy themselves.
"Andy and Cheri have great experience, and are looking forward to welcoming customers, young and old, for a drink, or something to eat.”
