I’m an early bird. I try to avoid my phone for at least the first 30 minutes of the day to allow myself to fully wake up and get centred, then I have a ginger shot.
Ginger has so many health benefits, and is a great way to spike that metabolism and wake up the digestive system.
Then it’s time to check my emails and write a list for the day ahead.
I’m straight out of the door for a socially distanced PT session.
Keeping active is so important for me mentally as well as physically and it gives me a well-needed boost of energy. I always feel so empowered post-workout, and ready to take on the working day.
I immediately follow my workout with one of my raw cold pressed juices that I've been creating for my new health and wellness business, Juicy.
Over the last few years, I’ve focused on being the fittest and healthiest I can be, so moving into the health and wellness industry feels like a natural step.
I head to our prep kitchen to help pack up the online orders.
We have been inundated since we launched and I’m a perfectionist, so I like to make sure everything is approved by me, from the labels to every last ingredient.
I then have a morning of meetings with our suppliers and usually a site visit to our new location which is set to open at the end of April, in on Glasgow’s Byres Road.
I am always on the go so like to prep my lunch in advance. Soup or salads are usually my go to.
Our focus just now is on shooting food and drink photography and working with models on campaign videos.
We have had to adapt our outdoor locations with the current restrictions. I joke that it’s lucky we’re Scottish – we can handle any weather for the sake of a good picture.
I am also preparing to reopen my hair salons. BLOW is my first baby and we have been working around the clock to get clients booked in, and to ensure our locations and staff are completely prepped.
Our newest Queen Street salon location opened last March in the height of the pandemic, and we’ve returned with a bang.
I enjoy a relaxed dinner with my partner, Gavin. I love to cook and we are homebodies.
We love Asian food like dim sum and sushi for something easy and quick mid-week. If it's a Sunday I go all out with a traditional roast with all the trimmings.
It’s a great time for us to unwind, talk about what’s happened that day and just enjoy each other’s company.
He is my sounding board and my biggest support, so this time together is precious.
In the evenings I log back into my social media accounts for various business projects.
My success so far has been driven by social media and you need to invest the time to get the return.
I then have a bath and an early night. I’m normally ready for bed by around 9 and I really like to get my beauty sleep.
