The juice is created using the juice of the Discovery apple. Discovery is one of the earliest new season apples and is marked by a sharp, fresh taste. The flesh of the fruit is flecked with red, creating the unusual pink-coloured juice. The colour in the flesh lasts only for around six weeks, making this a truly seasonal juice.
10p from the sale of each bottle of Discovery Apple Juice sold in October will be donated to Breast Cancer Care in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Based in Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders, Cuddybridge Apple Juice is hand produced in small batches by Graham Stoddart and his wife who jointly run the company. It is free from flavourings, colourings, stabilisers and has no added water.
Graham Stoddart said: “Cuddybridge Apple Juice is very simply a pressed apple and our new pink Discover Apple Juice is delicious. Its tangy, clean taste is really refreshing and I’m delighted that it comes into season just in time to mark National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
The company also produce Braeburn, Pink Lady and Granny Smith varieties in 330ml or 750ml bottles and an Apple and Sea Buckthorn juice in a 250ml bottle. The apple juice is available in a range of independent retailers, bars and restaurants across Scotland.
