Scottish Brewery of the Year Stewart Brewing wants to reward local heroes with free beer and they need your help to find them

Scottish Brewery of the Year Stewart Brewing is looking to reward local heroes with free beer - and the Edinburgh-based brewer needs your help to find them.

The Loanhead based brewing team have announced that they are taking nominations for people who deserve a beer amid the ongoing lockdown and will be donating free cases to some lucky winners.

Marketing manager Sarah Stirton explained that the company is keen to give back to the community that has supported them since they began back in 2004.

Speaking about the campaign, Sarah added that nominations are open to anyone and everyone, with key workers, parents working hard to home-school their kids and those people who are stepping up to help in the community all suggestions for the type of people Stewart's are looking for.

Sarah said: "It was really important for us to have the nominations open to everyone, there are so many people from all walks of life doing amazing work we wanted the chance to show our appreciation across the board.

"We received over 80 nominations in the first hour and only wish we could donate to more of these amazing people."

The brewery, which is still open for online orders and delivery, said it will be picking two nominees every week to deliver a free case to.

  • To nominate your chosen person, Stewart's are asking people to send an email to [email protected] with their names, address and explaining why they deserve a beer.
