Leith-based brewery to throw first birthday bash at its taphouse this weekend

An Edinburgh brewery is set to celebrate its first birthday with a party at its taphouse in Leith this weekend.

Beginning at 4pm on Friday and continuing on the Saturday from 12.30pm, Campervan Brewery is inviting people to come along and celebrate with them.

Brewer and founder Paul Gibson moved the Campervan brewery into a bespoke unit in Leith in January last year before making their first brew on the 16th of March - making it their official first birthday on Friday.

The brewery team say they will have eight taps pouring their beers with five new beers set to be unveiled for the birthday bash at their taproom which launched on Jane Street in August last year, meaning those in attendance will be able to try their beer direct from the source (in the middle of the Campervan brewery) with Paul adding that beer "really doesn’t get fresher than this".

Paul said: "I can’t believe that its a year since we first brewed here, it feels like two weeks ago. Its been a total whirlwind of an adventure over the past year and I’m delighted to get to this point of celebrating our first Birthday.

"The party will be a chance for all our loyal customers to come along and be part of the celebrations, and for anyone else to come along and see what we are all about.

"It's been such a crazy year and things are going from strength to strength, so we just want to say a big thanks to everyone who’s supported us so for on our adventure."
