Coronavirus: Pret and McDonald's announce they'll give away free hot drinks to NHS workers

High street coffee chain Pret and fast food giants McDonald's have announced that they will be giving away free hot drinks to NHS workers during the coronavirus outbreak.

Tweeting from their official account, Pret wrote: "Dear NHS workers, your hot drinks are on the house, from today and we'll take 50 per cent off everything else."

They then finished the post by thanking them for everything they are doing.

The tweet has since received over 40,000 likes and drew praise from hundreds of coffee fans.

To qualify, all medical workers have to do is show their NHS card in any UK store.
