According to the Belgian beer brand, guests will not only be able to enjoy their beer both in a brand new 330ml can format and on draught but also two limited edition Heverlee brews that have been created especially for the event; a blonde beer and a Belgian IPA.
Alongside DJ sets from Edinburgh deephouse duo Linkwood, House of Traps and LuckyMe record’s Éclair Fifi, those attending the event can enjoy classic sweet Belgian waffles and hot dishes including moules-frites and a traditional beef stew made with Heverlee, Carbonade flamande, served up by capital street food specialists The Pitt.
There will also be a feast for the eyes as local street artists including Fraser Gray, Elph, Trench One and Ursula Cheng create dynamic artworks over the weekend.
Surrealist cinema specialists, KinoKlub, will also be filling one of the archways with immersive projections from avant-garde Belgian cinema.
Film buffs can also enjoy a kid-friendly Sunday afternoon viewing of The Adventures of Tin Tin, followed by In Bruges at 8pm.
Once the fun is over, festival goers will each receive a map of nearby Heverlee stockists which they can use to redeem a free pint.
Heverlee’s Senior Brand Manager, Wendy Espie said: “We are incredibly excited to be bringing a taste of Belgium to Edinburgh this weekend to celebrate Belgian National Day.
"Given Belgian beer was awarded UNESCO Cultural Heritage status last year, Edinburgh’s Old Town, one of Scotland’s most famous UNESCO World Heritage sites was the natural location choice.
"We’ve worked hard to get the perfect mix of Belgian and Scottish contemporary art, culture, food and drink, it is shaping up to be a high energy weekend that won’t disappoint.”
The event runs at East Market Street Arches, Edinburgh, EH7 9AB on 21 July from 4-11pm and the 22 & 23 July 12-11pm.
