Halfway down Leith Walk sits Bier Hoose, a German-inspired bar with plenty of continental and craft beers and offers throughout the year. The pub also does German-style food including currywurst, and is a favourite for German expats in Edinburgh.
The outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying good value drinks on summer days with the house lager at £3.60 a pint and a medium glass of wine costing £4.

Nestled at the top of Leith Walk, this pub named after the Bob Dylan song, has a cosy feel and a good range of craft beers available on tap with pints starting at £3.50 and a glass of wine setting you back £3.25. There is also a quiz night each week and while there’s no menu, you can order pizzas from Origano at the bar.

This small pub does a lot to entice the student market through its doors but that doesn’t impact the quality of its food and drinks. An excellent choice for those looking to crack the £4 pint mark with a variety of beers available on tap, a popular pub quiz and some of the best burgers in the city.

Located on Drummond Street just off Nicolson Street, this pub serves a decent range of beer on tap from £3.50 a pint and wine from £3.75, the pub has a good selection of whisky and gin at low prices for the Old Town and student deals.
The pub also has a movie watching room in the back full of sofas for you to relax and get comfortable while a film plays on the big screen and has a popular quiz night on Wednesdays.
