Kings barns Distillery recently launched their first whisky, Kingsbarns ‘Dream to Dram’.
Named to mark the Wemyss family’s vision to bring malt whisky distilling to their Fife home, the new release is a truly local dram, having been slowly crafted with barley harvested from the fields of East Fife.
The result is a beautifully light, clean yet complex Lowland style malt whisky which captures the essence of this picturesque corner of Scotland.

The Glengoyne Legacy Series: Chapter One is the first in a series of annual releases from Glengoyne which reveal the tales that have shaped the distillery as it is known today.
The whisky reveals the story of when Glengoyne’s Distillery Manager from 1869, Cochrane Cartwright, arrived at Glengoyne and took the famously unhurried production process, for which Glengoyne is renowned today, to the next level. Not only did Cartwright slow down distillation to a third of the industry average but it was also critically under his management that sherry casks were first introduced to Glengoyne.
The Glengoyne Legacy Series: Chapter One boasts a rich, fruity flavour profile, featuring notes of toffee, warm pear, spicy cinnamon and vanilla and is available to buy now.

The Glasgow Distillery Company has recently announced the return of their 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, with the 2019 release now available.
The distillery has also revealed the launch of two new expressions: 1770 Peated and 1770 Triple Distilled. Together, these three new expressions will collectively form the signature range.
The eagerly anticipated return of 1770 follows the highly successful first release in 2018. Matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks, finished in virgin oak and non-chill filtered; 1770 Single Malt is smooth, fruity and complex.
With the 2019 release now available to order with shipping in April, the first Peated expression will be available in late 2019 and the Triple Distilled in early 2020.

Tamdhu Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky has launched a new Limited annual Release 15 Year Old to complement its expanding collection.
Bottled at 46% ABV, Non-chillfiltered and natural colour, Tamdhu 15 Year Old has been matured in American and European Oak Oloroso seasoned casks from the cooperages of Jerez in Spain’s ‘Sherry Triangle’.
After the full 15 years in these casks, the result is a complex and rich single malt whisky that delivers a nose of apple pastry, spiced currants and orange zest with notes of pineapple and fennel.
Tamdhu 15 Year Old is now available to purchase worldwide from specialist retail outlets at RRP £84.99 per bottle.

Award-winning British designer Bethan Gray has created a special bottle and display case for The Glenlivet’s Winchester Collection Vintage 1967 - a limited-edition 50-year-old Single Malt Scotch whisky.
The maple and copper case and hand blown glass bottle were created by Bethan and are inspired by the land around the distillery, her family history in the area and the complex whisky itself.
The Vintage 1967 is a coveted collector’s item that represents the culmination of more than 40 years of dedication and expertise from Master Distiller Alan Winchester.
The whisky is a blend of rare single malts, the youngest of which was laid down by former The Glenlivet Master Distiller, Robert Arthur in 1967.
Details of the design include handblown glass, hand painting and engraving, and copper and mother of pearl inlays.
This collaboration showcases exquisite workmanship, which is why each bottle and case is priced at over £19,000 ($25,000). This is one for many a wishlist.

Tobermory, one of Scotland’s oldest commercial distilleries has unveiled its new signature expression – the Tobermory 12 Year Old.
The whisky was revealed recently at events in London and Glasgow, giving enthusiasts the opportunity to be among the first to try the new spirit.
Guests were taken on an artistic journey by Senior Blender, Kirstie McCallum and Brand Director, Derek Scott as they tasted the new Tobermory 12 Year Old. Its colourful palette of vibrant fruit and spice with a subtle saltiness that reflects the harbour waters at the distillery and the longer maturation, delivers a rich whisky full of character.
Matured on the Isle of Mull in American oak casks for 12 years, the whisky has a cask strength of 46.3% and is non-chill filtered with a natural amber-gold colour.
