St Andrews famous award winning ice cream makers, Jannettas Gelateria, is set to launch a new flavour at the Dunhill Links Championship, which combines their trademark artisan Italian gelato with Eden Mill’s small batch whisky, Art of the Blend #4.
Aptly named the Alfred Dunhill Ice Cream, celebrating the founding father of the golfing championship. It is a new ‘adult’ whisky-infused ice cream, which will launch at the championship on Thursday 5 October.
The world-famous pro-am golf championship takes place between the 5-8 October and will feature some familiar and famous names such as Rory McIlroy and Sir Steve Redgrave, to name but a few.
Situated in the ‘home of golf’, St Andrews - where both Jannettas and Eden Mill are based, the inimitable flavour will be available in the tented village next to the spectator catering tent.
The limited edition flavour will also be available to purchase at Eden Mill Distillery located in Main St, Guardbridge.
Owen Hazel, Owner of Jannettas Gelateria, said;“At Jannettas we are passionate about supporting and working with local producers and so when the Dunhill Championship approached us we thought it a perfect opportunity to collaborate with Eden Mill, as they are as passionate, the result, we agree, is a triumph and we look forward to new and old customers enjoying this new celebratory flavour.”
Art of the Blend #4, is matured in ex-port European oak casks with only 1,100 bottles available. Especially crafted by their team of distillers – the team at Eden Mill aims to combine the very best of tradition and innovation.
Paul Miller, co-founder of Eden Mill said;“Jannettas is an iconic business situated in the heart of St Andrews, therefore, it is a real privilege for us to collaborate with them for such a prestigious event.
"As an ice cream and whisky enthusiast I advise everyone to make sure they taste it over the weekend.”
