Fife Arms announces festive food and drink events - including a fondue hut

The luxury five star hotel in Braemar is inviting guests to enjoy its Swiss-inspired festivities.

The Fife Arms hotel, which opened in late 2018 and features an array of eye-catching and one-off artwork (including an original Picasso), will be taking its festive inspiration from Switzerland this year.

What's on?

Christmas in the Courtyard – The courtyard will be transformed with twinkling Christmas garlands.

Guests can keep warm sheepskin blankets, enjoy a glass of glühwein or mulled wine, roast chestnuts and chat into the night around the fire pits.

Raclette and Fondue in The Fog House - This room overlooks the winter courtyard, and has wood panelling and a large fireplace.

Because of this it has been reimagined as a traditional Swiss fondue hut, complete with red and white linens.

The team said: "this is is the place for casting calorie cares aside and diving your fork into a Swiss fondue cheese mix or go Raclette with a choice of authentic Swiss cheeses. And don’t forget: the first person to drop their bread into the pot - foots the bill."

Festive Afternoon Tea in the gorgeous Clunie Dining Room - This afternoon tea features Christmas Stollen, mini gingerbread creations and an abundance of hot chocolate or mince pies and glűhwein.

Chocolate and whisky in Bertie’s Bar - The hotel's whisky bar will be offering a paired chocolate selection to enjoy with a dram or two.
