Tennent's brilliantly trolls Danes before Scotland match with 'Vital Statistics' ad

Tennent's release hilarious pre-match ad poking fun at Scotland opponents Denmark in the lead up to their friendly match at Hampden.

It seems it wasn't only Graham's Dairy who were on the wind up yesterday in the lead up to Scotland's friendly match against Denmark at Hampden.

Tennent's also released a hilarious ad comparing the two countries on Hampden's pitch side billboards and match programme.

Featuring stats that showed both country's populations, FIFA world rankings and major honours - where the Danes won the Euros in 2002, apparently the best Tennent's could come up for Scotland was the Kirin Cup in 2006 - the ad brilliantly builds up to a punchline poking fun at Denmark's most famous brewery, Carlsberg.

You can watch it here:

George Kyle, Head of Sponsorship and PR at Tennent’s said: “As a proud sponsor of the Scotland national side, we’re always keen to support the team as much as we can. We knew the ‘Vital Statistics’ clip would give the fans a laugh and get them in good spirits for the game to help spur the boys on.

"The video pointed out some of the similarities and differences between Scotland and Denmark, but there’s no mistaking who actually has the best lager in the world, and after last night’s results the better football team.”
