Surf Dogs and Edinburgh's Three Sisters team up to celebrate American Independence Day

To celebrate American Independence Day, Three Sisters have invited new gourmet hot dog company Surf Dogs to bring their unique pop-up to the Edinburgh pub this Saturday as part of their 4th of July special.

Surf Dogs will be offering their exciting range of hot dogs including the Chilli Dog (main picture), with sour cream & grilled jalapenos, the Laika Dog, with tomato jam and rocket leaf, and the Pulled Pork Dog, with red cabbage coleslaw & white BBQ sauce.

Running all day from 12pm -10pm, Surf Dogs will be on hand to enhance the American celebrations as part of the Cowgate Kitchen, which will also include a BBQ and a stall serving authentic Gumbo with cornbread.

The event, which is free entry, will also feature live music and a courtyard DJ.

Owner of Surf Dogs and hot dog enthusiast Martin Capaldi expects the day to be great fun and an excellent opportunity for him to showcase the company's growing range of hot dogs, he said: "Everyone loves Americana and there are few days better to celebrate all things USA than on Independence Day.

"Our gourmet hot dogs really encapsulate that wonderful American street food feel and we were really excited that the Three Sisters invited us to Edinburgh as it's such a popular venue.

"The business is all a bit of a learning curve as we are just starting out but we've had a great response so far and had an amazing turn out for our last pop-up in Glasgow."

• The event kicks off this Saturday, the 4th of July, and runs from 12pm -11pm at the Three Sisters bar in Edinburgh's Cowgate. Entry is free.
