Following the success of their first signature whisky ‘rockact81w’ last January, Mogwai have once again teamed up with The Good Spirits Co. to release ‘rockact81r’ rum.
A 12 year old single cask Demerara rum from the Diamond Distillery in Guyana, the 50% alc. rum is bottled by the Creative Whisky Co.
The limited edition run - 330 bottles in total - will go on sale exclusively on Wednesday 1st July at 10am in store at 23 Bath St, Glasgow; by phone on 0141 258 8427, and online at http://thegoodspiritsco.com.
Purchases will be limited to 2 bottles per customer, and shipping will be within the UK only.
2015 sees Mogwai celebrate 20 years as a band. Following sold out headline shows at London’s Roundhouse, Glasgow’s Barrowlands Ballroom and two shows in Ireland in June, the band have also announced the release of ‘Central Belters’: a stunning set of career highlights and rarities, available to buy in a limited edition 3xCD or 6xLP box set via Rock Action Records from 9 October. Tracks on the collection span the band’s 20 year career taking in highlights from their debut long-player Mogwai Young Team (1997) all the way through to last year’s Rave Tapes, the band’s first ever top 10 album.
