Popular new pizza franchise set to give away free pizza when it launches in Edinburgh

A pizza chain which is hugely popular in Dubai is set to give away free pizza when it launches its first Scottish outlet in the capital this weekend.

NKD pizza, which is due to open in the Morningside area of the city, is set to launch this weekend and to celebrate, the team behind the brand are offering local residents and pizza fans the chance to grab some free pizza.

Grant Clouston, the businessman behind the launch of the first NKD pizza franchise in the UK, explained that they will be having a launch party on the 30th of September and the 1st of October, between 12 and 4pm.

Anyone looking to pick up a free pizza on those days needs to sign up to MY NKD by heading over to nkdpizza.com/edinburghpizzaparty and picking a day to collect, after which they'll receive a voucher for their freebie.

Clouston said: "For the launch weekend we will also be giving away some fun merchandise.

"Ben Warren, who is our head develop chef, will be on hand both days to answer any questions people may have on the amazing products and flavours he has picked and to tell people about our fantastic ancestral 10 grain crust."

The firm, which are famous for the aforementioned lighter Ancestral Blend dough and their use of fresh ingredients, already have stores in other countries but this will be their first in the UK.

Clouston added: "It has been an amazing and rewarding journey with the NKD team over the past 18 months, pulling in resources from all over the globe to get me where I am today.

"I couldn’t have asked for a better brand to be involved with or have a better team helping me lead the way into the UK market.

"We have big plans for the UK. We are not here to take part, we are here to take over."
