The line-up for the inaugural Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend, which runs from the 6th until the 8th October, has been expanded to include even more bars and pop-up spaces.
The new additions, which include Whistle Stop Barber Shop, Brewhemia, WestRoom, The Villager and Usquabae Bar, take the total number of bars taking part across the city to over 50.
Each will design a brand new signature cocktail, which ECW wristband holders can enjoy exclusively for just £4.
Each cocktail has been developed in partnership with brand ambassadors and the city’s top mixologists to guarantee they are shaken, stirred and strained to perfection.
Organiser Gary Anderson said: "Since announcing Edinburgh Cocktail weekend last month we have been blown away by the excitement around the event.
"We knew it would be popular – who doesn’t enjoy cocktails?! – but the response has been really amazing, so we decided to add another five bars. It’s going to be Scotland’s biggest ever cocktail celebration!"
Organisers have also revealed their first pop-up space as the SKYbar on the top floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre.
The venue will open during the event exclusively for ECW wristband wearers, who can relax with SKYbar’s signature cocktail while taking in spectacular views of Edinburgh Castle and the city’s skyline.
The organisers say that as well as enjoying £4 cocktails and entry to exclusive pop-up spaces, wristband holders also have the chance to attend free masterclasses & tastings at the likes of The Refinery, the Scottish Malt Whisky Society, Malmaison, Epicurean and many more, as well as enjoying free entry to several late night venues and additional perks around the city.
Other participating bars include top Edinburgh bars like Tigerlily, The Printing Press, Harvey Nichols, Copper Blossom, The Raeburn, Badger & Co and Juniper.
A full list of signature cocktails will be announced four weeks before the event along with masterclass registration opening.
The wristbands which cost £6 each are now on sale at www.edinburghcocktailweekend.com and can then be collected from the Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend Hub during the event.
