Cocktail lovers can look forward to a weekend of sipping, sampling and socialising across the capital later this year, 6th – 8th October, as details of the first Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend have been announced.
Over 40 of the capital’s top
cocktail bars - including Harvey Nichols, Tigerlily, The Printing Press, Copper Blossom, Epicurean, Le Monde, Badger & Co and The Refinery – will showcase their mixology skills and design signature cocktails, available exclusively to
Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend wristband holders for just £4.

Organiser of the event Gary Anderson commented: "After six months of taste-testing we are thrilled to finally reveal the bars that we have chosen to take part in the first Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend. Our vision is to bring the city to life with cocktails and create unique experiences through exciting brand collaborations and pop-up spaces."
"It’s all about tasting your way around the city, discovering new bars and flavours, and feeling like you’re part of something exciting. For me, cocktails epitomise catching-up with friends, either after work on a Friday night or getting dressed-up at the weekend and hitting the town, and that's what we are hoping to see during the weekend. We’re working with the best brands and bars so all ECW cocktails are made using premium spirits and are shaken, stirred and strained to perfection."

As well as enjoying £4 cocktails across the city, wristband holders can also register for free masterclasses and tastings, enjoy entry to exclusive Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend pop-up spaces and events, take advantage of free entry to the Edinburgh’s top late night venues, and enjoy additional perks from many of the bars taking part.
Registration for masterclasses opens four weeks before the event, with priority registration being given to those who have already bought a wristband, so advance purchase of wristbands is recommended by organisers.

At the same time a full list with images of each bar’s signature cocktail will also be announced, to help wristband holders plan their weekend.
ECW wristbands can be purchased online and can then be collected from the Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend Hub on George Street during the event. Then it’s time to go explore #ECW17!
